Job Description:
Our district is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team for the remainder of the current school year. This is a full-time position based in our elementary school, where you will play a crucial role in providing support and guidance to students with diverse learning needs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Provide direct instruction to students in various academic subjects, adapting teaching methods to meet individual learning styles.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students' progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Foster a supportive and nurturing classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement and success.
- Stay informed about best practices and developments in the field of special education.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education.
- Kentucky teaching certification in Special Education.
- Previous experience working with elementary school students with special needs is preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Dedication to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
