Job Details:
- Position: Virtual Special Education Teacher
- Location: South Dakota (Virtual/Remote)
- Employment Type: Full-time, Contract
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging virtual instruction and support to K-12 students with diverse needs in a digital learning environment.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet students' unique requirements.
- Utilize virtual tools and platforms to create inclusive and interactive lessons.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and related service providers for a comprehensive educational experience.
- Assess student progress and adapt instructional strategies accordingly.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, assessments, and IEPs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid South Dakota Teaching License with a Special Education endorsement.
- Previous experience working with K-12 students with diverse needs.
- Familiarity with virtual teaching platforms and technologies.
- Knowledge of assessments and IEP development.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to thrive in a virtual/remote setting.
