Job Title: Contracted Special Education Teacher

Location: Las Vegas, NM

Start Date: ASAP

Position Type: Full-Time (37.5 hours per week)

Work Setting: Onsite Only

Hourly Rate: $30 - $35 per hour (depending on candidate experience)

Requirements:

  • Current New Mexico Special Education Teaching License
  • Active New Mexico PED Certification

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and assess the caseload for students with special education requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Collaborate with educators, support staff, and parents for an inclusive learning environment.
  • Modify instructional methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Monitor student progress, adjusting strategies as needed for academic growth.
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with school and district policies.
  • Stay updated on relevant professional development in special education.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with special education laws and regulations.
