Full-Time Special Education Teacher Needed for 2023/2024 School Year in Norwalk, Connecticut
Are you a qualified and experienced Special Education Teacher who is passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of students with diverse learning needs?
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Special Education Teacher to join the team at our client school site in the Norwalk, Connecticut area, ASAP for the 23/24 School Year!
Responsibilities: (Elementary / Middle School Aged Students)
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs
- Provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities, including academic, social, and life skills
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support the academic and social-emotional growth of students with disabilities
- Utilize assistive technology and accommodations to support student learning and communication
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to monitor student progress and inform instructional decisions
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and individualized education plans

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid Connecticut teaching license with a Special Education endorsement
- Experience working with students with disabilities in a school setting
- Knowledge of evidence-based teaching strategies and interventions for students with diverse learning needs
- Familiarity with assistive technology and accommodations used by students with disabilities
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to support student learning and growth
