Special Education Teacher (K-7th Grade)
Location: Winnsboro, SC
Employment Type: Contracted by Procare Therapy for the 2023-2024 School Year
Hours: Full-Time (30-35 hours/week)
Compensation: Hourly
Licensure: SC SPED Licensure (Multi-Cat, LD, or ID preferred but not required)
Procare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher to join our team for the 2023-2024 school year in Winnsboro, SC. As a contracted Special Education Teacher, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for students in grades K-7th.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs.
- Provide direct instruction to students, adapting teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to create a supportive educational environment.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including IEP documentation and progress reports.
Qualifications:
- Valid SC SPED Licensure (Multi-Cat, LD, or ID preferred but not required)
- Proven experience working with K-7th grade students in special education settings.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
