Full-Time Special Education Teacher for Self-Contained High School Classroom

Location: Cave Creek, Arizona

ProCare Therapy is currently seeking a passionate and experienced Full-Time Special Education Teacher to join our team for the 2023/2024 school year in Cave Creek, Arizona. Job Summary:

The Full-Time Special Education Teacher will be responsible for leading a self-contained high school classroom for students with special needs. This role will involve designing and implementing individualized education plans, developing appropriate instructional strategies, and collaborating with other educators and support staff to ensure students are receiving the highest quality of education possible.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
• Create appropriate instructional materials and strategies to meet the needs of all students
• Collaborate with other educators and support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment
• Provide ongoing assessments and progress reports to parents and administrators
• Attend meetings and professional development opportunities as required

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field
• Arizona State Teaching Certification in Special Education
• Experience working with high school students with special needs, including those with behavioral challenges
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
