Middle School Special Education Teacher

Location: Charleston, SC
Employment Type: Contracted by Procare Therapy for the 2023-2024 School Year
Position Type: Hourly, Full-Time (30-35 hours/week)
Licensure Requirement: SC SPED Licensure

Are you a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of middle school students? Procare Therapy is seeking a passionate educator to join our team in Charleston, SC, for the upcoming school year.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a push-in/pull-out caseload, providing specialized instruction to middle school students.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters the academic and social development of students with diverse needs.
  • Utilize effective teaching strategies and accommodations to meet the unique needs of each student.

Qualifications:

  • Valid South Carolina Special Education (SPED) licensure.
  • Experience working with middle school students in a special education setting.
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Compensation:

  • Competitive hourly rate.
  • Full-time hours (30-35 hours/week).
  • Contracted by Procare Therapy for the 2023-2024 school year.
