Moderate/ Severe Special Education Teacher Contract Job in Westfield, IN |23/24 school year

 Full-Time Moderate/Severe Special Education Teacher

Location: Westfield, Indiana

ProCare Therapy is currently seeking a full-time Moderate/Severe Special Education Teacher for the 2023/2024 school year in Westfield, Indiana. The selected candidate will work 5 days a week from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, providing specialized instruction to students with moderate/severe disabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with moderate/severe disabilities
• Provide direct instruction to students with disabilities
• Utilize specialized teaching strategies and interventions to meet the needs of students
• Collaborate with other teachers, therapists, and support staff to support student success
• Utilize assistive technology and adaptive equipment to support student learning
• Teach life skills to students in the classroom

Requirements:

• Indiana Licensure in Moderate/Severe Special Education
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education
• Experience working with students with moderate/severe disabilities
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience teaching life skills to students
