Registered Nurse Needed For School District Near Oxnard, California

We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our healthcare team in Oxnard, California. As an RN, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in various healthcare settings. Your primary responsibility will be to assess patient needs, develop and implement care plans, administer medications, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical, psychological, and social factors, to develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accuracy, proper dosage, and monitoring for therapeutic effectiveness and potential side effects.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, observe and document changes in their condition, and report any concerns or abnormalities to the healthcare team.
- Perform and assist with diagnostic tests, procedures, and therapies, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with physicians, healthcare professionals, and interdisciplinary teams to provide coordinated and holistic patient care.
- Provide patient and family education on health conditions, treatments, and self-care techniques.
- Document all patient care activities accurately and promptly in electronic health records (EHR) or other designated systems.
- Administer and manage intravenous (IV) therapy, including medication administration and fluid management.
- Implement infection control measures and maintain a clean and safe patient care environment.
- Advocate for patients' rights, privacy, and dignity, and ensure compliance with ethical and legal standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, professional development activities, and evidence-based practice implementation.
Requirements:
- Valid Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred. Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) may be considered.
- Proven experience as an RN in a healthcare setting is preferred, but new graduates will also be considered.
- Knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures.
- Excellent clinical and critical thinking skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassion, empathy, and a genuine commitment to providing patient-centered care.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals.
- Proficient computer skills for documentation and use of electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Current CPR certification.
