ProCare Therapy is seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher to join our team in Santa Cruz, CA for the 2023 and 2024 school year. As a Resource Specialist, you will work with Elementary School students and collaborate with other teachers to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs. Some co-teaching may also be required.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement IEPs for students with special needs
  • Collaborate with other teachers to support the academic and social-emotional development of students
  • Monitor student progress and make adjustments to instruction as needed
  • Provide differentiated instruction and accommodations for students with diverse learning needs
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and other school-related activities as required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
  • California teaching credential in Special Education or ability to obtain one
  • Experience working with Elementary School students with special needs
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices and strategies for supporting students with special needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Salary: $45K - $70k+pending experience, credentials, and school budget
