Are you an experienced Special Education Teacher in the Santa Cruz, California area  looking for a new opportunity? The successful candidate will be responsible for providing educational and behavioral support to students with special needs in grades K-12. This position includes relocation assistance for qualified candidates who live outside of the Santa Cruz area.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with teachers and other staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
• Provide direct instructional support to students with special needs in both individual and group settings
• Use evidence-based interventions to address student learning and behavior needs
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
• Provide coaching and support to teachers and staff on effective strategies for supporting students with special needs
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress and needs
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and services provided

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
• Valid California Teaching Credential in Special Education or ability to obtain one
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based interventions for students with special needs
• Experience working with students with a variety of disabilities and needs
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of laws and regulations related to special education
