Responsibilities:
- Provide push-in and pull-out special education supports to students with Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) and Developmental Disabilities (DD), with a caseload averaging 20 students.
- Design and deliver differentiated instruction primarily in literacy and foundational math concepts.
- Apply behavioral and academic interventions that foster socially appropriate behaviors and student independence.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, service providers, and families to address each student’s unique needs.
- Maintain clear, consistent communication describing progress, challenges, and achievement toward IEP objectives.
- Commit to ongoing professional development, seeking continuous improvement and sharing knowledge with your team.
Qualifications:
- Valid LBS1 Teacher Certification.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- 1-5 years of classroom teaching experience.
- Passion for supporting low-income, minority students in achieving college and career readiness.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High expectations for student and team performance, with flexibility and initiative.
- Strong knowledge of academic content and behavioral interventions.
