Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.
- Provide differentiated instruction and specialized support for students with disabilities.
- Adapt and modify curriculum to ensure accessibility and engagement.
- Conduct assessments and track student progress towards IEP goals.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to foster student success.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress, IEP meetings, and assessments.
- Utilize various instructional strategies and assistive technologies to enhance learning experiences.
- Support students in developing life skills, social-emotional competencies, and independence.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal special education laws and regulations.
- Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and professional development opportunities.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field.
- Valid state teaching license with a Special Education endorsement.
- Experience working with K-12 students in special education settings preferred.
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring.
- Knowledge of evidence-based instructional strategies and behavioral interventions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing caseload and documentation effectively.
