Special Education Teacher (Cross-Categorical, K–3)
📅 2026–2027 School Year (August 18, 2026 – June 10, 2027)
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to support a cross-categorical K–3 classroom at Oneida Nation School in Oneida, WI. This position is a great opportunity for an educator who is passionate about creating an engaging and supportive learning environment for students with diverse academic and behavioral needs, including students on the autism spectrum.
Position Summary
The Special Education Teacher will work within a cross-categorical classroom serving elementary-aged students with a variety of mild-to-moderate disabilities. The ideal candidate is experienced in differentiated instruction, behavior support strategies, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to help students thrive both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver individualized and small-group instruction to K–3 students with varying learning needs
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Modify curriculum and classroom strategies to support student growth and achievement
Utilize evidence-based interventions and supports for students with autism
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, support staff, and families
Track student progress and maintain compliant documentation
Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
About the Program
Cross-categorical programs are designed to support students with a range of disabilities within one instructional setting. This approach promotes individualized learning, flexibility, and inclusion while allowing educators to address students’ unique strengths and needs through targeted support.
Qualifications
Active Wisconsin Special Education license/certification
Experience supporting students with autism preferred
Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Schedule
Full-time, school-based position
Monday–Friday schedule
