Grades 9 - 12 Grades 6 - 8 Special Education Teacher in Walla Walla, WA

You will work with students in a variety of special education settings including self-contained classrooms, resource programs, and special day classes. Your expertise and advocacy will help nurture an inclusive environment that empowers each student to reach their fullest potential.
Key Qualifications:
- Active State Teaching License required
- Endorsement in Special Education (K-12) preferred
- Experience working with K-12 students, particularly those with mild to moderate and/or severe learning needs
- Commitment to fostering a supportive classroom atmosphere
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and adapt individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Deliver specialized instruction, both one-on-one and in small groups
- Maintain accurate and ongoing student records and documentation
- Collaborate with families, general educators, and related service providers
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Support social-emotional and academic growth for students with diverse needs
This role offers 30-37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, working with students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Compensation for this position ranges from $37-41+ per hour depending on experience.
