School Sign Language Interpreter (ASL) – 2026/2027 School Year
ProCare Therapy is seeking a qualified Sign Language Interpreter (ASL) for a school-based position in Wisconsin Dells, WI for the 2026/2027 school year. Responsibilities
Provide real-time American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation in classroom and school settings
Facilitate communication between students, teachers, staff, and peers
Interpret during instruction, meetings, and school-related activities
Adapt interpreting style to meet individual student needs
Collaborate with teachers and special education teams
Maintain confidentiality and follow professional interpreting standards
Support an inclusive and accessible learning environment
Work Hours
Monday–Friday, school-day schedule
30–37.5 hours per week
Preferred Experience
Previous school-based or educational interpreting experience preferred
Experience working with children or adolescents is a plus
Qualifications
Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) required
EIPA score, RID certification, or state-required credentials preferred/required based on district guidelines
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Education
High school diploma required
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
