Special Education School Teacher Opportunity – Smyrna, DE
Sunbelt is seeking a Special Education School Teacher to fill an open role within a Smyrna, DE area school district. This school is looking for someone can start at the beginning of the 23/24 school year and assist their student reach their educational goals throughout the full year. Work with a school district that supports its teachers!

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in special education or related fields
• Must have an active DE SPED Teacher Certificate.
• Previous Special Education Teaching experience preferred but not required.
• Must be able to pass a Drug screen and background check.

Job specifics:

• Full-time: 37.5hrs/wk, Monday – Friday
• Conduct assessments, testing and diagnostic examinations of students to identify learning issues.
• Recommending courses of action or corrective procedures to overcome issues and maximize learning.
• Assist students and teaching staff in implementing IEPs and behavior modification plans.
• Coordinate with administrators and other staff.
• Participate in and develop IEPs. 
• Current school year needs as well as summer – If interested!
