Special Education Teacher 23-24

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced special education teacher to join our team. As a special education teacher, you will work with students who have a range of disabilities, including learning, emotional, and physical disabilities. You will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) that meet the unique needs of each student. You will also collaborate with other educators, parents, and healthcare providers to ensure that each student receives the support they need to succeed.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that meet the unique needs of each student.
• Use evidence-based practices to teach academic and life skills to students with disabilities.
• Collaborate with other educators, parents, and healthcare providers to ensure that each student receives the support they need to succeed.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and ensure that all required documentation is up to date.
• Attend meetings and professional development opportunities to stay up to date on best practices in special education.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in special education or a related field
• State teaching certification in special education
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices for teaching students with disabilities
• Experience working with students with a range of disabilities, including learning, emotional, and physical disabilities
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
