Location: Mishawaka, MI
Start Date: Immediately
ProCare Therapy is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated full-time Special Education Teacher to join our team in Mishawaka, MI for the remainder of this school year.
This position requires an individual who is passionate about working with students with diverse learning needs and has the ability to provide effective and engaging instruction in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student that align with their academic and social-emotional goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure that special education services are integrated into the student's overall educational program
- Utilize appropriate instructional strategies, technologies and resources to meet the unique needs of each student
- Provide ongoing assessment and evaluation of student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and other school-sponsored events as needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and attendance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid MI teaching license with SPED endorsement
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
