Special Education Teacher (Intervention Specialist)
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations to assess students’ cognitive, social-emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Develop and implement personalized Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) to support student success.
- Provide support to students facing academic, social, or behavioral challenges.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to design effective interventions.
- Work closely with families to share resources and strategies for student growth.
- Contribute to initiatives that promote a positive and inclusive school environment.
- Stay informed about current trends and best practices in special education.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Active Ohio teaching certification with a focus on special education.
- At least two years of professional experience working in special education.
- Expertise in creating and managing IEPs tailored to individual needs.
- Strong understanding of assessment and intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- A dedication to empowering students and fostering their potential.
