 Full-Time Special Education Teacher in San Tan Valley, Arizona for the 2023/2024 School Year

ProCare Therapy is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Special Education Teacher for a position in San Tan Valley, Arizona. As a ProCare Therapy Resource (Elementary School) teacher, you will be responsible for providing specialized instruction and support to elementary school students with disabilities in a resource room setting.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
• Provide specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities in a resource room setting.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed.
• Conduct ongoing assessments and progress monitoring to evaluate student growth.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and other team members to ensure student success.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and attendance.
• Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and other team members to ensure student success.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in special education or related field.
• Arizona state certification in special education.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with students with disabilities.
• Knowledge of effective instructional strategies for students with disabilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with general education teachers and other team members.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

What is a Resource Room? A resource room is a specialized classroom where students with disabilities receive individualized instruction and support. In a resource room, students receive instruction in a separate setting from the general education classroom. This type of classroom is designed to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities who require a more structured and supportive environment.
