Special Education Teacher Needed in the Nacimiento, CA Area

ProCare Therapy is currently seeking a dedicated and qualified SPED Teacher to join our team for the 23/24 School Year. As a Resource Teacher, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students with special needs. Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and support to students with special needs
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for each student on your caseload
• Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and support staff to create a comprehensive and cohesive educational plan
• Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities
• Monitor student progress and make necessary adjustments to instructional methods and goals
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and interventions
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and success
• Communicate regularly with parents, caregivers, and other stakeholders regarding student progress and individualized goals

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
• Valid SPED teaching certification in the state of California
• Experience working with students with diverse learning needs and abilities
• Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and parents/guardians
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of students with special needs

Job Details:

• Caseload: 14-15 students
• Split Caseload: TK-5th and then 6th-8th
• Full-time position
