Special Education Teacher Needed in the West Pelzer, SC Area

ProCare Therapy is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education (SPED) Teacher to join our team for the 2023-2024 school year. As a SPED Teacher, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students with diverse learning needs. Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities in a resource room setting
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and growth
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure student success
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, materials, and technologies to enhance student learning
• Monitor and track student progress, and provide ongoing assessments and feedback
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations

Requirements:

• Valid multi-categorical SPED teaching license
• Experience working with students with diverse learning needs
• Strong knowledge of special education laws and best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to effectively collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
• Dedication to student growth and achievement

Position Details:

• Hours: 7 hours per day
• Caseload: Up to 33 students per caseload
• Grade Levels: 1 elementary school, 4 middle schools, 4 high schools
