Location: near Sacaton, AZ
Position: Elementary School Special Education Teacher
Caseload: 60 students
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM
Grade Level: Elementary School
Start Date: Immediate
Private office space provided.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students
- Provide tailored instruction and support to students with a range of disabilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and other staff to support student success
- Monitor student progress and make necessary adjustments to teaching strategies
- Assist students in using augmentative communication devices
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress
- Communicate with families and caregivers regarding student progress and concerns
- Participate in IEP meetings and professional development activities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education (Master’s degree preferred)
- Valid Special Education Teaching Certification in Arizona
- Experience working with elementary-aged students (preferred)
- Familiarity with augmentative communication devices (preferred)
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
