Full-Time Onsite Special Education Teacher needed in the Schererville, IN area.

Sunbelt Staffing, is searching for a licensed Special Education Teacher in the Schererville, IN area. This position is an onsite contract position that will begin approximately on 8/15/22 and the position will end when the school year finishes in 2023. The caseload you will work with can range from mild to severe disabilities in High School or Elementary students. We will be conducting interviews starting in August over zoom or in-person.

Responsibilities can include:

• Create teacher lesson plans based on student’s abilities and adapt based on progress
• Keep track of and reflect on students' progress
• Monitor children's behavioral patterns and arrange appropriate programs if needed
• Teaching students with multiple needs in very small classes
• Communicate with parents and other teachers about students’ needs and progression

Requirements for this position are to have your Indiana license in Special Education and previous pediatric care is preferred.
