Full-Time Special Education Teacher for Middle School Resource Room

Location: Spartanburg, South Carolina

ProCare Therapy, a leading provider of special education staffing solutions, is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Full-Time Special Education Teacher for a Middle School Resource Room in Spartanburg, South Carolina for the 2023/2024 school year. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a supportive and collaborative team and make a positive impact on the lives of students with special needs.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
• Provide instruction and support in the resource room setting to students with a variety of disabilities
• Collaborate with general education teachers, other special education teachers, and related service providers to ensure the best possible outcomes for students
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and participate in IEP meetings and other team meetings as required

Requirements:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field
• South Carolina teaching certification in Special Education or ability to obtain certification
• Experience working with students with disabilities in a school setting
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

What is a Resource Room? A Resource Room is a specialized classroom that provides additional support to students with disabilities who require extra assistance in order to succeed in the general education classroom. Students receive individualized instruction and support from a special education teacher in a smaller, more structured setting, in order to help them meet their academic and behavioral goals.
