Soliant Education is actively seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in Rockford, Illinois, for the 2023-2024 school year. This is a full-time position with 37.5-40 hours per week, working onsite in self-contained classrooms across elementary to high school levels.
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support in self-contained classrooms.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with the special education team.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for students.
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to address diverse learning needs.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and assessments.
Qualifications:
- Illinois State Certification in Special Education.
- Experience with self-contained classrooms across elementary to high school levels.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the unique needs of students.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time position (37.5-40 hours per week).
