Job Description:
Soliant is actively seeking a skilled Special Education (SPED) Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year in Waukegan, IL. In this role, you will provide individualized instruction and support to students with special needs, helping them meet their academic and developmental goals in a collaborative school environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Modify lesson plans to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and parents.
- Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field.
- Valid Illinois PEL (Professional Educator License) with Special Education endorsement.
- Knowledge of IEP processes and experience with diverse student populations.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
