Special Education Teaching job opening available near Portland, OR
Portland, OR
I'm working with a great school district in the Portland, OR area that is in need of a Special Education Teacher for their current school year.
This will be a contract position for the remainder of the school year.
Hours: Full time- 37.5 hours per week
Job Qualifications:
- Candidates must have their Oregon Special Education Teaching License
- Must have previous early-education experience
- Must be able to explain how you build relationships with parents and teachers
- Ability to travel to the Portland, OR area for this job
Job Responsibilities:
- This is a Mild to Moderate caseload
- Participate as a transdisciplinary team member to complete educational assessments or children and assist in determining eligibility for Early Intervention/Early Childhood
- Special Education (EI/ECSE) and School Age services based on Federal and State rules and regulations.
- Case manage assigned children by completing due process forms and developing and implementing the individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) based on the education assessment information and/or periodic IFSP reviews.
