Job Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Part-Time Summer School Special Education Teacher to join our team at Sunbelt in Franklin, NH. This is a temporary position for the duration of our summer school program. As a Special Education Teacher, you will work closely with students who have diverse learning needs and provide them with a supportive and inclusive educational experience.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Create engaging and effective lesson plans that align with students' IEP goals and objectives.
- Adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet the diverse learning styles and needs of students.
- Provide small group or one-on-one instruction as required to support student learning.
- Monitor student progress, assess their strengths and areas for improvement, and provide ongoing feedback.
- Collaborate with other teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to student learning.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance, attendance, and behavior.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to discuss student progress and address any concerns.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Valid teaching certification or license in Special Education in the state of New Hampshire.
- Prior experience working with students with special needs, preferably in a school setting.
- Strong understanding of various learning disabilities, behavioral disorders, and other special needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
