Transition Classroom Special Education Teaching Opening - 23/24 SY - Little Falls, MN

ProCare Therapy is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher to work in a Transition Classroom with 18-21-year-old students with Level 4 behavior in Little Falls, MN. The position is for the 2023 and 2024 school year.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student
• Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that cater to the needs of each student
• Assess students' progress regularly and adapt teaching methods accordingly
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for students with diverse needs and abilities
• Collaborate with other teachers, school administrators, and parents to provide a well-rounded education for students
• Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive student behavior
• Attend professional development sessions and training to improve teaching skills

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Special Education
• Valid MN Special Education Teacher license
• Experience working with students with Level 4 behavior preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team

Salary:

• $32 - $40 per hour (pending experience, credentials, and school budget)
