Urgent! Licensed Special Education Teaching Opening!

Procare Therapy is seeking a licensed Special Education Teacher in the Detroit, MI area. The position is for the remainder of the current school year and involves working with a caseload of 16-18 children aged 5-8 years old. The position is onsite and requires the teacher to be familiar with SPED processes and paperwork.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for each student on the caseload
• Assess and evaluate students' progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
• Provide specialized instruction and accommodations to meet students' individual needs
• Collaborate with other teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective educational experience for students

Requirements:

• Fully licensed as a Special Education Teacher in the state of Michigan
• Familiarity with SPED processes and paperwork
• Experience working with elementary-aged children with a range of disabilities
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Pay: $32 - $40 per hour (depending on experience, credentials, and budget)

Hours per week: Full-Time (Mon - Fri, 8am-4pm)

Start Date: ASAP

End Date: June 20th (last day of school), June 30th (contract end)
