Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (SPED) required
- Prior experience working with early childhood or elementary-aged students, particularly in special education settings
- Proficiency in developing and implementing IEPs
- Comfortable navigating hybrid roles, balancing onsite and remote responsibilities
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Ability to travel to various schools as needed for in-person support
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct special education services and assessments in person at assigned schools four days per week (Monday-Thursday)
- Coordinate and facilitate IEP meetings, primarily conducted remotely
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation, utilizing remote work options for paperwork completion
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs and create an inclusive learning environment
- Work jointly with school staff, families, and administrators to promote positive educational outcomes
- Manage a diverse caseload while balancing in-person and online tasks effectively
