Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher through a contract role serving students across several grade levels. Full-time positions are available for the upcoming school year, spanning early learning elementary, middle, and high school caseloads. This assignment begins August 31, 2026 and continues through June 4, 2027, supporting students in a vibrant learning environment near Ann Arbor, MI.
Minimum Requirements:
- Current Michigan teaching certification with a Special Education endorsement (must submit proof of certification)
- Prior experience working with students with diverse learning needs
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities with students, families, and team members
- Ability to design, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Flexibility to adapt instructional methods for a variety of learning styles and grade levels
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide quality instruction to students in special education settings at the elementary, middle, or high school level, depending on assignment
- Develop and implement IEPs aligned to student needs in collaboration with families and support staff
- Foster an inclusive and positive classroom environment
- Track student progress and adjust supports to encourage growth and achievement
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with school and program guidelines
- Engage with families, colleagues, and administration to ensure integrated and comprehensive support for every child
