Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Michigan Teaching Certification with a Special Education endorsement (must be included with your application)
- Proven ability to adapt instruction and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Experience teaching at either elementary, middle, or high school level preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Passion for fostering inclusive and engaging learning environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction to meet the unique learning needs of a diverse student population
- Develop, implement, and review IEPs, providing both academic and behavioral support
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and administration to support student success
- Monitor and document student progress, adapting strategies as needed
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians, fostering strong partnerships
- Support transitions and advocacy, equipping students with skills for success in school and beyond
