Special Education Teacher | Anniston, AL | 2026-2027 School Year
ProCare Therapy is seeking Special Education Teachers for school-based contract positions with a local school district in Anniston, Alabama. We are currently hiring for multiple full-time openings across Pre-K through 12th grade, including collaborative and self-contained classroom settings.

Position Openings
Grades 1-5
1 Collaborative Teacher: Caseload of approximately 22 students
1 Self-Contained Unit Teacher: Caseload of approximately 14 students with support from 2 paraprofessionals
Grades 9-12
1 Collaborative Teacher: Caseload of approximately 22 students
Pre-K - Kindergarten
1 Collaborative Teacher: Caseload of approximately 13 students
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Provide specialized instruction based on students' individual needs and goals
Adapt curriculum and instructional materials to support diverse learners
Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators, service providers, and families
Collect and maintain accurate progress-monitoring data and documentation
Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, and multidisciplinary team discussions
Support students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development
Maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment
Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal special education requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field
Active or eligible Alabama Special Education Teaching Certification
Previous school-based special education experience preferred
Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills
Ability to work onsite for the full school year
Experience supporting students with a variety of learning and behavioral needs preferred
