Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
Provide specialized instruction based on students' academic, behavioral, and developmental goals
Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, parents, and related service providers
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate educational records and documentation
Adapt lesson plans and instructional materials to meet individual student needs
Support students in developing social, emotional, and independent living skills
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
Maintain compliance with state, federal, and district special education regulations
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or related field
Active Wisconsin Special Education Teaching License or ability to obtain licensure
Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance requirements
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and educational teams
Preferred
Master's Degree in Special Education or related field
Previous experience working in a school-based special education setting
Experience supporting students with a variety of learning, behavioral, and developmental disabilities
Familiarity with evidence-based instructional practices and intervention strategies
Experience with progress monitoring and special education data collection
