Opportunities available:
- Full-time Learning Specialist for a self-contained, structured learning environment
- Full-time teacher in a Significant Support Needs (SSN) program (center-based, elementary)
- Full-time teacher in an Autism/Behavioral Needs (AN) program (elementary)
- Part-time Learning Specialist (K-8)
What you'll bring:
- Active Colorado Department of Education certification with a Special Education endorsement
- Proven expertise in one or more of the following: significant autism, AAC devices, emotional/behavioral disabilities, de-escalation strategies, structured learning services (SLS), or data-driven behavioral supports
- Experience building life and adaptive skills for elementary-aged children
- Confidence working in classrooms with paraprofessional and teacher support
- Ability to collaborate with specialists and effectively communicate with families and multi-disciplinary teams
- Capable of managing a caseload in a primary or elementary self-contained classroom, typically 8-15 students
What you'll do:
- Deliver specially designed instruction to students in either SLS, SSN, or AN designated classrooms
- Foster a supportive learning space focused on social, emotional, and academic growth
- Collect and analyze data to drive interventions and progress monitoring
- Model and implement effective behavior management and communication strategies
