- Comfortable collaborating with support staff, related service providers, and general education teachers
- Excellent communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver instruction in a self-contained (STC 2) classroom, meeting individual student goals
- Create a positive, supportive, and highly organized learning environment with embedded language and visual aids
- Modify curriculum to ensure all students can access educational content and demonstrate growth
- Collect data and assess progress towards educational goals and IEP objectives
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement student IEPs
- Foster collaborative relationships with families and guardians, providing regular updates
