Qualifications and Experience:
- Current state certification as a Special Education Teacher, or eligibility for certification
- Proven experience or strong interest in working with students with varying disabilities
- Knowledge of creating, implementing, and tracking Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with staff and caregivers
- Adaptability and organization for working across two locations with a caseload of 25–30 students
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction to assigned students, adapting curriculum to meet unique learning needs
- Develop individualized lesson plans and monitor student progress
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to deliver comprehensive support
- Communicate regularly with families regarding progress and strategies for success
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and district regulations regarding special education documentation
- Foster a safe, positive, and encouraging classroom atmosphere
Job Features:
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Daily schedule from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Convenient assignment—both schools are under a mile apart, minimizing travel time during the day
