Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Current certification in Special Education teaching (state certification preferred)
- Prior experience with life skills or intensive needs programs, especially at the upper elementary or middle school level
- Strong skills as a case manager, including IEP development and implementation
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with families
Responsibilities:
- Teach and support a 5th/6th grade caseload focused on life skills/intensive needs (only three students in this year’s program)
- Serve as case manager, developing IEPs and ensuring progress monitoring for each student
- Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, therapists, and families to create positive outcomes
- Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and adaptive classroom environment
