Qualifications:
- Active Texas Special Education Certification
- EC-6 Certification
- Background in working with students with significant academic and functional needs preferred
Responsibilities:
- Guide a classroom of K-5 students (caseload of 10) with intellectual disabilities, autism, TBI, and complex needs
- Implement individualized instruction within a self-contained Alternate Learning/Life Skills classroom
- Collaborate with 2 skilled paraprofessionals to provide targeted supports
- Employ curriculum resources provided by a forward-thinking district
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
- Maintain regular hours: Monday-Friday, 7:15 AM – 3:15 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch), for 37.5 hours weekly
