Every day in this full-time assignment, you’ll engage with a dynamic self-contained classroom serving 7–9 students with unique abilities, including Autism and Down Syndrome, within an Academic Life Skills program. Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 Endorsement
- Experience teaching in self-contained special education settings
- Background working with low-incidence/life-skills populations (Autism, Down Syndrome, or substantial medical needs)
Responsibilities:
- Deliver adapted life-skills curriculum for a caseload of 7–9 students
- Manage and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Support classroom and medical accommodations
