This opportunity involves working full school year hours (32.5 per week) in a collaborative educational environment dedicated to student growth and inclusivity.
Qualifications:
- Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 Endorsement (required)
- Compliance with all applicable state or district-specific credentials and regulations
- Previous experience working with special education populations at either the K-8 or high-school level is highly preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration abilities
- Passion for tailoring instruction to meet a range of learning needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with student needs and legal requirements
- Work collaboratively with general education teachers, support staff, and families to deliver comprehensive student support
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom setting that encourages student participation and growth
- Utilize effective behavioral and instructional strategies to enhance student engagement and success
- Participate in meetings, professional development, and school events as required
