Special Education Teacher | Berwyn, Illinois

Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid LBS1 (Learning Behavior Specialist I) certification is required
- Experience working with primary grade levels (K-2) strongly preferred

- Strong communication skills to collaborate with staff, students, and families

Responsibilities Include:
- Serving a caseload of approximately 7-8 students within a single school site
- Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Differentiating instruction to meet each student’s unique needs
- Collaborating with fellow teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
- Maintaining accurate records, tracking progress, and preparing reports as needed
- Communicating regularly with families to ensure consistent support
This role requires a commitment of 37.5-40 hours per week (dependent on lunch breaks), offering focused time with young learners during their most crucial developmental stages.
