Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working with students with learning disabilities, emotional/behavioral disorders, or developmental delays
- Strong knowledge of IEPs and ability to effectively implement them
- Exceptional communication and organizational abilities
- Creative problem-solving skills and adaptable teaching style
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams such as speech, occupational therapists, and school counselors
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group instruction according to students’ IEPs
- Assess student progress regularly and refine instructional strategies as needed
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Develop supportive classroom materials and modify curriculum to support diverse learners
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports in compliance with regulatory and school standards
- Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom community
