Position Details
- Full-time contract position
- Elementary school caseload
- School-based setting
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation
- Create an engaging and supportive learning environment that promotes student growth and independence
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Special Education or related field
- Active Special Education teaching certification
- Vermont Special Education license preferred
- Candidates holding a valid New Hampshire Department of Education teaching license are encouraged to apply; the district is willing to accommodate qualified NH-licensed educators
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Previous school-based experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Deliver specialized instruction aligned with student IEP goals
- Modify curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs
- Conduct assessments and track student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Foster positive relationships with students, families, and school staff
