Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Connecticut Special Education certification (065 or 165) is required
- Previous experience working with middle school students preferred

- Ability to create an inclusive and supportive classroom climate
- Proficient in adapting teaching strategies and materials to meet diverse learner needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IEPs in alignment with district and state standards
- Deliver targeted instruction and support for a middle school resource caseload
- Collaborate with general education teachers to promote accommodations and modifications
- Collect and analyze data to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Foster student confidence and independence through advocacy and encouragement
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student goals, progress, and daily successes
- Maintain detailed records and reporting requirements
