Key Qualifications:
- Current, active Connecticut Special Education Teacher License required
- All mandated certifications for special education within Connecticut
- Experience working in school settings as a special education teacher
- Familiarity with CT-SEDS (Connecticut Special Education Data System) preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
- Able to quickly adapt and manage responsibilities across various school settings
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) based on student needs
- Provide direct instructional support and adapt lessons to meet a variety of learning styles
- Monitor, document, and assess student progress, collaborating closely with faculty, families, and support staff
- Maintain compliance with all state and local regulations, including accurate and timely documentation
- Manage classroom environments that are supportive, inclusive, and conducive to student growth
- Participate actively in meetings, professional development, and ongoing communication within the school community
Assignment Details:
- Onsite positions for 35 hours per week
- Multiple durations:
• 9/15–10/27
• 9/28–12/23
• 11/26–2/28 - Serve students at various schools, making an impact across the community
