Qualifications:
- Active Colorado Department of Education Special Education (CDE SPED) licensure required
- Experience working with students requiring significant support needs (SSN), preferred
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- Passion for fostering an inclusive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality, individualized instruction to elementary students with significant support needs
- Develop and implement IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to promote student success
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of student progress and interventions
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and professional development as needed
- Create a positive, structured, and welcoming classroom environment
Position Details:
- Contract term: August 20, 2026 – June 3, 2027
- 34 hours per week (Tuesday through Friday; no school on Mondays)
- Onsite at a supportive elementary school
- Manage a caseload focusing on significant support needs
